this hasn't been tested yet- need a volunteer to try it out and let me Know!!!!

STEP ONE down load this file file called installmirc.exe . It is a self extracting zipped file- so all you should need to do is double click it where ever you saved it to- if it ask where to install usually will be C:\mirc

STEP TWO once it installed ( should be 11 files and 3 folders) will need to open the mirc.exe (in mirc  folder- doing this install may not make the desktop short cuts- so open windows explorer- go to c:\mirc click the mirc.exe file once with left mouse button (HOLD IT DOWN) and drag the mouse to a place on your desktop and release- then you'll have a shortcut on desktop to it)

now click the shortcut one desktop to open mirc- should get a picture like this:

except it probably wont say licensed to rosko :) but click the X up in the top right corner- where pointer is.  The you should end up with this picture:

You can change the FULL NAME & EMAIL - I suggest you don't use real names and addresses- you might end up on some weird spam list-(it hasn't happened at superchat during the 3 years I been chatting there- but it happening on some of the other nets- so if you set it now and later go to one of the hundreds of other chat nets you'll be ok....

Then click the CONNECT TO IRC SERVER button- and it should connect to superchat and auto join the #adt channel- kinda like the java one on our web site auto joins #adt...then you should get picture like this:

and type in the little box ( below the Chewtoy- [#adt]: visit......and click enter and the message will appear in the chat window.

to change nickname to YOUR nickname now- select Command/Change nick  OR- type in the box "/nick myNEWname" without the quotes, and NO space before the /

other helpful option::::

If you want just the chat window on desktop ( handy for multitaskers) click the icon to the left of the #adt [3] (or however many in chat room) Airedale terriers..... pick DESKTOP from that menu- when it has the check mark in front of it, go to the main Mirc window and click the MINIMIZE button- it will make the main window disappear and leave  just the chat window.  If you resize and get it where you want it- click that icon again and pick POSITION> Remember.  Now whenever you start mirc the chat window should show up in the same place

to quit- click the X in top right corner. or the famous ALT plus F4 keys
