These are pictures taken of DUKE when he was at his foster home after being an 11th hour rescue. The first two are of his pre haircut look, the woolly look which he will probably get a short version of here- I prefer the woolly look to the short short look. In the bottom pictures is the DOOK in the after hair-do and in the 'family' get together. He is the one looking to the right in the family picture. Duke is a very mellow and laid back and very well trained dog. Although he was a city dog and only allowed out on a leash for his walks, he has really adapted quite well here on the farm to the fenced in yard and the farm outside the fence and his sister. Allie and Duke are like the best of buddies already and have seen many improvements in every day. Have already left the gate open for the Duke while I am out in the yard or garden, he stays pretty close, and have only had to call him back once, he seems a quick learner adn is always looking to please, and is such a easy thing to please. It is so hard to believe anyone would want to give this guy up, or much worse, put him to sleep. He is such a doll and I don't think this guy has a bad thing in is brain anywhere. Hard to imagine a dog adapting so well to such a turmoil in his life- but he hasn't even been here a week yet...Friday, May 29, 1998
